Cold forging is a high speed manufacturing process whereby metal is shaped at room temperature often without the need for the removal of material. Now this is a big job, not for the feint hearted , you are going to need a little bit of space to work in, but it's going to save you a fortune compared with buying a new machine or calling out an engineer. Both of these machines can be used for open-die or closed-die forging. A forging press, often just called a press, is used for press forging.
